Port is made using grapes from the north of Portugal. The wine produced is fortified with the addition of alcohol which halts fermentation leaving residual sugar in the wine. The wine is then stored and aged in barrels. This product is designed with cooking in mind. It has had the alcohol reduced and a small amount of salt added.
